Our delightfully funny 5 acre farmstead was built by Swedish Pioneers in 1876 and we pioneered our Hipcamp on 18 June 2023. We have a variety of spaces for vehicles, tents and small campers midst leaning trees and funky old farm buildings. Rustically quaint and uniquely primitive, we are. Friendly dogs, two sheep, one goat and shy cats. Rain sheltering in The White House. Well water via hydrant and drinkable water available. Access to electricity if you have extension cord. Lots of campfire wood to use and take. The Milky Way on a clear night. OUR LITTLE GROVE IN A NUTSHELL — SMACK IN THE BELLY BUTTON of the U.S.A. and only 30 minutes from the intersection of INTERSTATE 70 (goes east-west) and INTERSTATE 135 (goes north-south) — VERY SAFE and especially comfortable for those traveling alone - Drive RIGHT UP and PARK AT YOUR CAMPSITE - Most campsites are in one acre paddocks surrounded by 5 foot fencing so humans and pets can RUN WILD AND FREE — We tend to be kind and caring and are EAGER-TO-PLEASE country folk and creature Hosts who do best with close communication about arrival - MEADOWLARK BIKE AND WALK TRAIL within walking distance from your campsite and only three miles into Swedish Proud LINDSBORG with funny and fun events, lotsa art, shops, strong Swedish coffee and DINOSAUR SIZED DALA HORSE — RANDOM CREATURE ENTERTAINMENT by canines Annie, Charlie and Little Lost Dog Klaus, and the Motley Crew of Dolly the Wobbly Goat and sheep brothers Ozzie and John Everett. OUR LITTLE GROVE DESCRIPTION We are a safe spot to take refuge for a night… a week… a month. We are in the belly button of continental USA.Dolly Goat believes we are “Delphi”, the Center of the Universe. We have been popular with solo travelers and campers traveling across the country - the San Diego to New York and Alabama to Wyoming types. Of course, we are a reprieve to anyone needing a break from the outer world. You just text an hour or so ahead and HONK THREE TIMES for entry. We will open the rusty old gate and show you to your option of areas to stay. WE ARE ART AND KINDNESS IN PROGRESS. We are eager to be nicely organized, but are discombobulated rookies so a sense of humor and flexible joy for creative chaos will help give you a funny little farm experience. (More apt, Funny Farm Experience). GREAT THINGS TO DO WHEN YOU ARE HERE Proud-to-be Swedish LINDSBORG, three miles from us, is adorned with wooden Dala Horses, shops, art and galleries. Population is only 3,200, but we have a great grocery store with a Swedish aisle, pharmacy, National Geographic Photographer, a Full Service Gas Station and a CASTLE up the road. CORONADO HEIGHTS is our local castle where you can picnic and watch the sun rise or sun set on a 360 degree view of central Kansas countryside. Fifteen minute drive north from Our Little Grove. See https://www.visit lindsborg.com/Coronado-heights MEADOWLARK TRAIL is a nicely groomed biking and walking trail and is just across the field - you can walk to it from your campsite. LOTSA COMMUNIQUE We like/need more texts or messages than the average bear (as some say). We need to make sure we are around to open the gate and help setup for an especially pleasant stay. You will receive an automated message that gives basics about 48 hours before arrival. Other texts include EMERGENCY INFO, THINGS TO DO, such as the 360 view of Kansas from our local castle, Coronado Heights or the Swedish aisle of White’s Grocery Line.

Gypsy, 1948 Teardrop Romance
The gypsy camper is very small but quite cozy! It has a fan which helps keep airflow moving and electricity to charge phones and run a coffee maker. Beverly is a wonderful host and we had fun meeting the dogs, sheep, and goats at the farm. They would hang around our campsite and we loved it. We also visited Lindsborg, the town close by, which was a fun little town.

Gypsy, 1948 Teardrop Romance
Unique glamping experience
I had the pleasure of spending a magical evening in Gypsy, a 1948 well-appointed teardrop camper. Beverly, the omniscient host, met me and my dog. She had everything set up to accommodate our stay. The bed was comfy and the view of the stars was perfection. As a solo traveler, I felt safe and enjoyed getting away from my everyday urban environment.

A rustic natural setting to enjoy
What a joy camping here! Perfect set up, plenty of room even though there were two other campers on the property beside me. Be sure to admire and enjoy the friendly critters, dogs and sheep that wander over now and then, what fun watching them. If you are a bird watcher there is a beautiful cardinal that repeatedly comes to visit and watch.

Gypsy, 1948 Teardrop Romance
One of my favorite Hip-camps stops
This was my second time staying in Beverly’s cool little teardrop during a cross country trip. She is a delightful host and made sure I had everything I needed for my stay. The little Swedish town nearby offers everything you need for your stay. There’s also a nice local grocery store with Swedish foods and everyday items. It’s awesome when you can stay at a place and leave as new friends and return again in the future. I would highly recommend her place for females looking for a safe place when traveling by themselves.

Great stay
Beverly’s place was not only a lovely property with useful amenities but she was also one of the best hosts of any place I’ve stayed (both indoor and outdoor included). She is very friendly, accommodating, and helpful if you are in a pinch. I cannot recommend her place enough.
